Shannon On Demand is a video-based, virtual visit platform that allows you and your family private and secure access to care for minor medical needs. Shannon On Demand providers are board-certified and available 24/7 with no ap- pointment needed. Access is fast and easy—all from your mobile device, tablet or computer. To get started, visit ShannonOnDemand.com . Where can I use Shannon On Demand? You can access Shannon On Demand any- where in the U.S. Shannon On Demand supports the most recent versions of most internet brows- ers, as well as access using mobile apps for iOS and Android platforms. Do I need to schedule an appoint- ment? Shannon On Demand is designed for on-demand care, so no appointment is necessary. After you register and log in to Shannon On Demand, doctors who are available for a visit will appear on your screen. You can browse doctor profiles and select your preferred provider by clicking on the green “Connect” button. Who are the providers I will see in Shannon On Demand? Shannon On Demand is staffed by several members of our Shannon Clinic team. In addition, Shannon has added members of Online Care Group, which is a primary care practice with a national network of board-certified doctors who have decades of experience in family practice and urgent care. These providers have undergone a rigorous selection process to become a part of the network. Shannon On Demand helps you get back on your feet, no matter where you are or the time of day. Shannon On Demand is not for people suffering from serious or life-threatening condi- tions, such as seizures, chest pain, neurological symptoms suggesting a stroke, difficulty breath- ing, dizziness or loss of consciousness, sudden bleeding, head injury, possible broken bones, or psychiatric issues. If you have any of the above symptoms or any other serious medical concerns, please call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency department. ACCOUNT SETUP AND CONNECTIVITY Do I need to create an account to see a doctor on Shannon On Demand? Yes. The account creation process is simple and takes just a few moments. We recommend you set up your account now so it’s ready when you need it. Once your account is created, you can use the mobile app or website using the same username and password. Is my online doctor visit private and secure? Yes. We feel it is of utmost impor- tance to maintain patient privacy and keep information secure. Shannon On Demand is designed to be compliant with the federal law restricting release of medical information (HIPAA) and a private, secure tool that allows you to safely and confidentially consult with a doctor online. DURING THE VISIT Can I receive a prescription from a Shannon On Demand provider? Shannon On Demand providers will prescribe medications applicable for your individual diagnosis. Please note that by law, narcotics and opiates (for example, hydrocodone and oxycodone) cannot be prescribed via telehealth visits. What if my condition requires a physi- cal visit? Shannon On Demand providers are able to treat the majority of common com- plaints, but some symptoms may require a physical visit. If our providers cannot diagnose your condition over telehealth and determine that you must be seen in person, we will not charge you for your visit.
