Radio personali- ties Jay Michaels and Rick Andrews, along with Miracle Mom Delaine Hale, will highlight stories of children in the Concho Valley who have been treated at Shannon Medical Center. During the three-day event, the 2018 Miracle Kids will be introduced, and lis- teners will hear updates on past Miracle Kids. The outstanding medical staff at Shannon Medical Center, the ones that make the miracles happen, will be on the air to discuss the Miracle Kids and explain more about needed items on the 2018 Children’s Miracle Network Wish List. EVENTS CALENDAR The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) has designated Shannon Medical Center as a Level 2 Neonatal Facility (Special Care Nursery) in Perinatal Care Region-K. This state designation is valid for a three-year period. “Shannon is to be commended for its commitment to ensure quality care for neonatal patients in their area,” says John Hellerstedt, MD, Texas DSHS Commissioner.
